It is quite a process! 

They are all wonky, imperfect and unique ~ 

The hand made papers used are not perfect, 

but that adds to a spooky background look.

Each is approximately 7 1/4 inches tall 

and will come with a battery operated

flickering votive.

Welcome to my evening offering. I'm afraid the time change is still not working with me to catch daylight for pictures!

 Tonight I have two Hedge Witches.
A mother and daughter.
The maiden is learning the ways
 of healing and herbs.

They are approximately 11 1/4  inches tall and hang on the wall.

They are sculpted from Paperclay and are attached to a soft fabric body. They have glass bead eyes and flax hair.

           Each holds sculpted pumpkin basket
                    (new for the coming year!)

I present two Melanistic Barn Owls.

Simply put, 

it means that they have a 

high level of dark pigment.

My heart is always present in my beloved Adirondack and Green Mountains.

I lived up on a hill once upon a time, 

A small house in the country, 

overlooking the Green mountains. 

Many a night, 

a barn owl would hoot 

and lull me to sleep. 

Once I saw a melanistic one, 

I was smitten.

but what would other's think?

Thank you for loving them on

 Social Media as they were becoming.

These two owls are what I call,

 Door Dolls.

They are meant to be lighter,

 so as to hang nicely.

Their bodies are made in a simpler manner than the china doll style.

They will still sit in a small chair or shelf.

They are sculpted of paperclay 

with fabric bodies.

Each holds a wire basket 

with preserved Sweet Annie

 from my garden.

They are approximatley 10 inches tall.

Cradled in each of their arms,

 is a wooden Rune

 that I have wood burned and sealed.

with green moss and lichen

along the NY and VT border. 

It is rich the Early American history.

A nearby town is the birthplace of the Navy~

these ladies came to be

            The tricorn hats are approximatley 10 3/4 inches and the bicorn hats are approximatley 11 1/4 inches tall.
