Winter Owl Princesses

~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

Gwyneria

Eirwen

For your consideration this evening,
I resent two Owl Princesses.
My heart is always present in my beloved Adirondack and Green Mountains.
I lived up on a hill once upon a time,
A small house in the country,
overlooking the Green mountains.
Many a night,
a barn owl would hoot
and lull me to sleep. These two speak of those memories with their beautiful dresses that depict a winter's scene.

These two dolls are what I call, Door Dolls.
they are meant to be lighter to hang nicely.
Their bodies are made in a simpler manner than the china doll style.
They will still sit in a small chair or shelf.
They are sculpted of paperclay
with fabric bodies.
They each wear a chippy distressed
metal crown.
Each holds a wire basket
with preserved Sweet Annie
 from my garden.
They are approximatley 11 inches tall.

My original piece will come to you signed and dated.

Each Princess is
270.00
and 14.50 for shipping

Both have been spoken for~ Thank you!
in the continental US.
I do not ship outside the US

Please specify your choice by name

A Special Note~

A few words about offerings~
First, THANK YOU!
I truly appreciate all of your time and efforts trying to secure a piece. I am thankful every day, that I have the opportunity to have the job title ~ Artist.

I know that so many of you try for pieces, but there are never enough for everyone. This is so hard! I revisit quite a few characters and keep them one of a kind. I'm sorry, but I do not take comissions. Their magic comes from not sitting and making my little lovelies like I was a factory. I urge you to keep trying! More often than not, there are first time Goode Wife collectors.
I am older now and slower. I am navigating a challenge, but I still have so much to create!

Day of the Dead

Catrina
Please welcome Catrina.
I have wanted to do a Day of The Dead doll
for many years now.
As an Artist, I want it to fully reflect
who I am and my vision.
These things come in their own time,
and their vision is not to be rushed.
I also needed to be ready in skill
as well as technically.
No matter how good you are,
you always learn from your work.

So I present to you,
my Catrina...
my way to honor death.

She is made of paperclay
and fabric
She is a light waeight hanging dolly,
but can also prop on a shelf or wee chair.
Her face designs are drawn with
archival ink pens
so that they wont fade with time.
She is approximatley
12 1/4 inches tall.
she carries a small skelly basket
filled with preserved Sweet Annie
from my garden.

My original piece will come to you signed and dated.

KITCHEN HAGS

The name Kitchen Witches,
Seemed way too nice.
They are no nonsense and with a whack of a wooden spoon,
you know they teach you how to do something,
just once.
They are salty, like pasta water~
They put the sour in sourdough bread.
One of their no nonsense looks,
will leave a bitter taste in your mouth,
like broccoli rabe...

Leontina
